5th grade students are invited to help create artwork for the 2012 Reeves 5th Grade Memory Book and class T-shirts.
On Monday, February 13 and 27, 2012 from 2:35-4:00pm, students will meet in the Art room at school.
Details about the artwork will be given at the time of the meeting.
Permission slips are needed to participate.

Meetings
Next Tuesday morning, February 7, 2012 at Panera (the one on Cambridge Road) at 9:00 a.m. there will be an meeting of 5th parents/guardians interested in working on the layout of the Memory Book. Feel free to bring your laptop or I will have mine to walk through how to use the software package Picasa which we will be using for the book. Pass this email along to anyone else who may be interested in helping or learning how to work Picasa at home.
In addition to the memory book meeting mentioned above, there will be planning meeting on Thursday night, February 9, 2012. The meeting will take place at Caryn Barretto's home located at 10 Parker Street. I would like to further discuss the party, bake sale, t-shirts, etc. for anyone who can make it.

Field Trips
Below are the dates for the 5th grade field trips and other events planned for June.
If anyone is available to help chaperone, please contact your child's teacher to make arrangements. I know they need help but hopefully enough people will volunteer so there are enough parents at each of the three field trips.
4/12 - Sturbridge Village

6/11 - Rain date for Field Day
6/12 - Freedom Trail Trip in Boston

MCAS testing for students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 resumes again this spring. Mark your calendars with the 2012 testing dates listed below.

The Girl Scouts of Troop 1510 are collecting for Woburn Council for Social Concern's Food Bank. Starting February 1, 2012 - February 29, 2012 please join us by donating 1 or more items. Boxes will be located in the school lobby for items to be placed. Your contribution will benefit needy families in our community.

We invite you to join us for the Reeves Family Pasta Night on March 23, 2012 being held at the Sons of Italy in Woburn.
To add to the fun of the evening, we are asking for donations for "Theme Baskets" to raffle that night. Each grade will have a themed basket. Donations of items towards the appropriate grade theme can be brought in to the classroom and we will put together the baskets. If it is easier, a suggested donation of $2.00 can be sent and we will purchase the items. Below is list of the themes for each grade.

This is a fun addition to the Reeves Family Pasta Night. While we do not expect any one child or classroom to give a lot or to have to participate, a class collection can create some really cool surprises to raffle.
Raffle tickets for these baskets will be available prior to the night as well. A separate notice will go home shortly regarding the sale of the raffles, as well as when tickets for the dinner will go on sale.
Any questions regarding the raffles, please contact Linda Grace linda@belmontprinting.com. We also welcome any additional items families may wish to donate for the evening to raffles, ie. sports, movie or museum tickets, gift cards and gift baskets, etc.
We are looking forward to seeing you on March 23rd at the Woburn Sons of Italy.
